Default New ball drilled 1/8" too long

I felt something a little off, putting the thumb in takes a teeny bit of stretching to sit flush and the ring finger nail sits a little bit forward and touches the insert wall. Measured and its 1/8" longer than last ball. Is this bad enough to get changed?

I would say yes, you should not have to adjust because the pro shop made a mistake. go talk to the driller and see what he can do to help.

I agree have it fixed 1/8 off is quite a bit. (I'll guess he didn't compensate for the insert wall thickness)

I would def take it back to the proshop and ask him what he is willing to do about it. He should fix it if he made a mistake

It's an easy fix, take it back.

If your span is short or long by ; 1/16" = Green Light

    1/8" = Yellow Light

more than 1/8" = Red Light

Damn I didn't know it made that much of a difference.
It really is 1/8" longer than my last ball drilled, and possibly 1/16" too long to begin with.

Maybe I am blowing it out of proportion. Yes the span is about 1/8" longer but there really is no feeling of stretching or discomfort. I tried the pencil test, then I tried putting my fingers/thumb in and then removing the fingers and resting them on ball and the first crease (under the fingertip knuckle) is pretty much right over the middle of the whole, and the midway point between the two knuckle creases is fairly close, probably about 1/8" off. So I'm going to leave it I think.
Any signs to look for while actually bowling?

Aaaand I felt it tonight. A little bit of finger strain, fingers felt like they were poking foward/slipping out. Who knew 1/8" was so crucial.

My Dark Encounter was drilled 1/8" too short and when I had it re-drilled it was putting added strain on my thumb, I ended up getting it drilled like my Complete Bedlam. My scores with the slightly wider span were pretty good, but my comfort was more important than the scores.
