Default Anyone only using matte/sanded balls?

Hi. I have a question for you. I often see people playing with matte/sanded bowling balls when the lanes are freshly oiled and pearl balls when the lanes have less oil, like after 3 or 4 games. In my case, I have always had my best games when I play with my sanded balls.

    Here is my arsenal

    Nexus pearl
    Wild Card
    C-System alpha max

As I don't have a lot of revs (around 250 rpm), I have always had difficulties to play with the Nexus pearl even when the lanes are dry. I both leagues in which I play, there were 3 games played on the lanes before us, so there is less oil on the lane. I am still able to play with the Wild Card and the C-System, and I also let a lot less 7 pin (I am left handed).

Is it ok to keep only sanded balls in my arsenal?

I would suggest keeping the Wild Card and the Alpha Max sanded, while maybe polishing the Nexus Pearl since it's a pearl ball already. You can have that Nexus with polish just in case you face something you aren't used to seeing and the lanes are absolutely dry. If you don't like the idea of polish you could always put a light sanding on the Nexus and some heavier surface/sanding on the other two that could work out for you as well.

Having only sanded/matte equipment is not necessarily a problem, just makes life difficult when the heads are completely broken down because mattes react earlier than pearl.

Pearls can be more difficult to control because they provide a more skid/snap reaction, whereas matte offers an arcing motion.

If sanded and matte balls work for you and that's what you have then there isn't a problem. Given your estimated rev rate and being left-handed I will make the logical conclusion that you are a stroker. Given the fact that left-handers usually don't have a ton of others on their side, your style and rev rate sanded/matte balls won't over-react as much for you as say a high rev, right-handed, tweener or cranker.

doesnt matter what balls you have. what matter is that you know how to control it when in need.
