    Doing it by hand is uneven and you cannot create enough pressure without a spinner.
    While there can be a unevenness doing it by hand and you should have it done by the proshop at least once in a while.

    Basic cover changes can done by hand.

    As for "you cannot create enough pressure without a spinner" enough pressure for what? The hand pressure applied on a ball on the spinner isn't any greater than doing it without one.
