Thread: One ball for multiple conditions

Default One ball for multiple conditions

I have decided that i'm going to get a new ball. But i want to find a very versatile heavy oil ball thats also gonna work on light, dry conditions. I have only ever used 1 ball and not multiple balls and have done pretty well. I wanna stick to just having one ball and picking up a 10pin is not a problem for me with a hook happy ball lol. I looked at the defiant for a long time, the Nexxus and Nexxxus, Vivid, And since i joined this forum i hear nothing but good things about DV8 balls. Ive never owned one of course. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks. If you need any info to help with a suggestion just let me know

I own a DV8 revenge and i only use it on the first game of league. Bill has a revenge and a terror, IIRC, bill mentioned that he uses the terror throughout the league night with no problem. im thinking of purchasing one for myself also.

My recommendation is a bowling ball with a pearl coverstock to give you length on the dry patterns, Nexxxus, Defiant Edge, or Hell Raiser.

I would suggest a pearl ball with no polish and low grit, around like 1500 or so. They have started making more dull pearl balls like the Motiv Primal TV4, Nexxxus f(P+S), Nexus f(P) Pearl or you can't a low grit polished ball and take the polish off, maybe something like the Lord Field Exodus Pearl, Storm Marvel Pearl, Hammer Epidemic or Motiv Raptor Attack. The reasoning behind me make this suggestion is dull pearl balls just make a lot of sense to me. They are pearlized which helps to get through the heads and since they are dull they rev up quick when it hits the dry with all the engery saved. I have had good experience with this combo works very well.

What in the world is a Lord Field Exodus Pearl? Is this a new or old ball?

Lord Field has been around for a couple of year, they are made in Korea. But say most of the materials are purchased from the USA to construct the balls. Not real wide spread.

I have been looking into the DV8 balls and they seem like one to definitely think about. I believe i seen one thats not out yet called the Nightmare?? What are your thoughts on that one. i know it may be hard seeing it not out yet. Or is that the wrong way to go?

Someone told me about pearl balls like the gravity nano pearl. But said nano pearl not as hooky as some other balls out there. Thats just what he said i have no idea, thats why im here asking questions to figure it out lol. The Nexxxus is in my top three right now. and a DV8 being in there too.

Given that the DV8 Nightmare doesn't call for any polish it will more than likely be a sanded or matte finish. These tend to burn up on low oil to dry patterns. Depending on how quickly your lanes dry out it may not last the series like you want. The Terror has good length with a sharp back end break. The polish cover definitely helps it clear the dry heads later in the series. I have been able to use this ball the entire night and the most I've had to move was 5 boards.
The Storm Hy-Road use to be my favorite ball for it's versatility. DV8 produced the Terror and it surpassed the Hy-Road for me.
