Thread: Beat a guy in a cash match, then he tried to fight me.

Good job in keeping out of a fight. It has no place in bowling.

Also nice to hear of someone learning the hard way that 2 finger bowling is a valid style. I don't do it anymore, but I will always root for those that do.

So the league officials came to me last night and strongly recommend that I stop bowling people in my league for cash after our league night is over. They can't stop me, but would like it if I didn't do it anymore. I understand, and I probably will stop.

I'd have to agree with this, yes i know how you felt and finally wanted to make him shut up but nothing good really can come from challenging a hothead to a cash match, either you loose and give him more to fuel to insult you or you win and annoy him leading to this outcome. a friendly wager that winner buys first round etc can be fine but high stakes to settle a score not so much.

Why do your league officers even care? I'm really curious about this.

That was my first thought. What I do after the games are over shouldn't matter to them in any way. It's probably because one of the officials, it was his teammate that I had this issue with. So he lost a teammate, and felt the need to take it out on me.

We have a guy with a bad attitude. Always complaining, yelling and the like. The last time we bowled he was on the pair next to me. He bowled a 121 his first game and was all over his team for bad shots. He didn't even bowl the third game. Said he quit. I looked at him and said "Don't let the door hit you in the *** on your way out." Then I thought it was wrong for the league president to do that. After I had at least 8 people thank me for speaking up. Tomorrow night I will find out how serious he was. I had a replacement for him before the game was over.

There's a guy I have bowled with who now works at the center. I have been setting him up for weeks to bowl for cash. Dollar a pin, three game series. I figure I should win $100. He isn't that good but does get on some pretty good streaks. His goal is to try out for Team USA which makes everyone that knows him laugh. Nice goal but he is so far from being able to achieve it.
