They sound like silicone grips

THEY ARE GREAT!! Had them put in my New Lucid! I get more lift, and would recommed them highly!! My new Lucid is working GREAT! I am a Stroker also, and it works better on house oil, on league night then any of my other balls! So far, I am able to stay with it through all three games! I also have a DV8 terror, and Marauder! But testing them out with my style of bowling, I have to say the New Lucid wins hands down!! Get the Silicone grips!! You won't regret it!! Iceman

Had the Modern Marvel drilled last night and was told the grips he uses are Contour Power/ProSport. I guess its the same company and they've been around for a while. I don't really know layouts but my pap is 5in over by 1/4 up and the pin is above my ring finger and CG is kicked out a little so he added a small weight hole just off my axis since he said on his scale its exactly an ounce but could be off on a different scale. Hope this makes more sense to you than it does to me.

Bowled two games with the MM since my Wife and 2 mo old Son were with me, first game was a 170 but was trying different lines/kinda messing around. Second game was 247.

I have video of all my first shots that I'm hoping to splice together and upload to youtube.

I have a Modern Marvel and here's my opinion. I got it as a heavy oil ball, but I Always seem to bowl on dry, light or if im lucky fresh medium oil. Because of my low ball speed it tends to labor to the pocket but STILL has so much carry (is it called continuation?) it is the anti-deflection ball. I chalk it up to the core. My teammate commented last night how awesome it is to see the ball continue through the pins. He said it looks like stop motion almost as it drives thruogh, hard to put into words but I know what he's talking about...

I still have a Raw Hammer Burn, Jigsaw Corner, Faball Blue Hammer and an Arson but Storm seems to roll better for me as all my high games/series have been Storm equipment.
