If it looks dirty I wash it. Pretty simple.
How often do you clean your Bowling towels?
I clean mine, as a rule of thumb, when ever they need it.

Oh, and I wash mine every couple of months or so. I combine them with microfiber towels and detailing towels I use for my vehicles. No fabric softener, they dry better without it.

I wash mine every couple of weeks. If there's oil on my hands after I pick upt he towel, then its time to wash it.
What I've always been told is you should never use fabric softener on your
microfiber towels as it takes away from their cleaning effectiveness or at
least that is what I've always heard.
When I clean my bowling balls at the lanes with alcohol and Simple Green
after each bowling session I always just use one of these microfiber sponges
and they work great bowlingball.com Monster Pad Microfiber Sponge Yellow
I have several of them I keep in my ball bag and just take them home and
clean them by hand when they get dirty with hot water and Dawn dish soap.
I take my regular microfiber towel that I use between frames to wipe the ball
off home and wash it by hand in hot water and Dawn dish washing soap about
once or twice a month it just depends on how dirty it gets.

I have found that a common rolling pin, "wooden", works great! Lay the mic towel on a piece of marble, then starting at the TOP, apply pressure and role it down the towel to the bottom. You will notice a large amount of oil upon preforming this task! ( the key here is KEEPING pressure on the rolling Pin ),, I put the excess oil in a "bowling lane oil tin can", and take it back to the house, give it to the mechanic to be recycled! Just my part in trying to save the planet!!
