Angry How fast can it disappear??

I started off in last night's league with a 257. Could have been a "big 3" pretty easily but I was happy with that score. Second game - 227 but I was still feeling alright. The shot was breaking down drastically and I had to switch to a less aggressive ball. Nonetheless I threw 5 splits in my first 6 frames (4-9, 3-10, Greek Church etc) before dipping to 161. To magnify the problem, that 161 was the high score on my team (all averaging 200+). How fast can a shot disappear??? Good grief....

Default How fast can a shot disappear!

Just like our youth!!! LOL !! ( how quickly it can disappear) LOL I have found many times its me not the lanes! (not all the time, but many times my speed, rhythm, loft, aim can weaken as a game progresses!
Example: Just the other day bowling with Jason I said to him, I think it’s time to change balls, (getting a few 10 pins), he said NO STICK with it, it looks like you are not throwing it as hard as your first game. I increased my speed, and sure enough, back in the POCKET! Sometimes it can be so supple, that you don’t even realize your delivery has changed. Again, not always is this the case, but with me, many times it is!! Now that I realize that I focus on keeping the entire above constant!

I found with the new Lucid I purchased last week that I can bowl a whole game with it, even with lane changes! Might just be one of the best balls I have had in my short 3 ˝ years of bowling. Will be giving it another outing tonight! We won 4 Sunday, and I had a 193, first game, then 234, and final game 213, which is funny,,, that’s what the three combined averages,,,,213! Lol It could have been much better but I missed a few 10 pins,,,, which upset me because I have been right on hitting that pin with the new plastic ball! Had a streak of 20 plus going!! O well ,,,, like that song,,, ( It Was Just One of Those Thing)!
Again its not JUST THE BALL,,, but the DRILLER!! Bruce took the time to drill the ball to suit my style of bowling….. DRILLING I have found is AS important as the BALL!

I did the exact opposite a few weeks ago. Started with a 147. Then all of a sudden I had a 240. Then I shot a 265. I expected my last two games to be better than the 147 but dear God.

This happens every week in my league, haha people shoot 279 279 180 or they shoot like 150 160 260 the last game, 5 man teams can really change the pattern especially when you have people like me using 2000 surface on my equipment which isn't much but it's a lot for a house shot in my opinion

This happens to me alot, last week 2 of my games where in the 200+ but then on the last i drop to 170ish. I think its just me burning myself out more than anything.

A lot depends on what's being thrown and where they are playinf comparesd to you as far as how fast hrey break down. If you have several people throwing dull balls on very similar lines they will break down quicker
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

Haha, i can relate to this, the alley i bowl at finaly replaced the lane conditioner after 20+ years, at the end of it, i woud throw a few balls before the lanes were refreshed then again after and i saw 0 difference. thank god for Kegel

You got that right. I have times when I warm up before league bowling starts I feel like I am throwing a lousy ball and I am getting strikes easily. When we start and it counts I wonder where the strike ball went. Geeez!
