Default Got My DV8 Marauder Drilled

I got my new ball drilled. This is my first resin ball. I did not have time to have the pro shop watch me bowl. That guy was gone that day and I wanted it done. I also figured that until I improved some it wouldn't make a huge difference. We used a slightly larger thumb hole. I also went up from 15lbs to 16lbs. My average with my 20+ years old Rhino is a tic under 140 through the first 4 weeks of league.

Ball feels great in my hand. The other thumb hole must have been dragging some because I can really see the revs on the ball.it is for sure spinning faster than the Rhino. It doesn't seem to be moving much slower either.I felt pretty strong through three games despite the extra pound. I was able to throw several of those wicked pro style hooks and mis hits left easy spares (usually).i threw the Rhino at the only 2 ten pin shots I had. Overall it hits way harder and has a sweet hook when I do my part.Much better pin action as well. My three games in order were 161...165..and 160. Needless to say I'm excited. I'm curious as to its action when I play in league tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

I was worried a heavier higher performance ball might be a mistake but I was really confident after a few throws. I hope I can continue to improve.

    Congrats on becoming a deviant.

You are just getting used to it now, once you get it down if you hit the pocket it will be 10 in the pit. The heck with those pesky single pin leaves. I do think from the posts here and people I personally know It seem like everyone who switches to DV8 increases their average between 20-30 pins. If it holds true with you too, soon you'll be sitting at a 160-170 average.

First Great choice in ball, i'm looking to dv8 aswell for my next ball, perhaps a marauder madness?

Congrats on the great improvement in score, going to a higher hook potential ball tends to do this, but where you go from here is up to you!

Seeing your ball hook like a beast is always cool, but not always whats best for your bowling, the main thing you should focus on is your accuracy, focus on hitting your target and your average will rise (the same goes for spares, the difference between 160 and 200 is making spares)

that monster over hook is is a nice party trick though lol, whenever i go bowling for fun with my friends or on a date i always play over left gutter and cock my wrist revving the ball up to around 500 lol it's not very accurate but always fun to watch.

Good luck with the new ball ya deviant!

20 pins over average out of the box? Only with a DV8! Glad to hear you are enjoying it so far. Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks for the replies!!... I always cock my wrist even with the old Rhino but it has an effect now!! I feel if I practice and work on my accuracy this ball is gonna be awesome!! As I tired a little I started to lose focus and get sloppy or I would have done better.... I'm hoping the slower pace if league play will keep me a little fresher and focused.

I love my dv8... I actually thought of replacing my mission2.0 with a dv8 as well... btw good games right out the box.

Do it! how old is your 2.0? perhaps if it's still a good ball, get another dv8 to compliment your current collection if your looking for a stronger ball perhaps the terror or hrr? or maybe a nice zombie spare ball for those evil 10 pins
