Default Does anyone here have a Roto Grip Rising Star ball?

It is one of my considerations of a new bowling ball. I wanted to see if a regular old league bowler here has one so I can get a point of view from a guy that isn't a pro or a high average guy. The reason is because I am neither of those two types of bowlers I mentioned. My average now is 175. My highest average on this league at one time was 186. This is on a league that bowls every other Saturday. I am thinking about putting in some practice
time during the week to see if I can get back into the higher average again. I remember bowling series that were above 600 when I did this. Practice does make a difference in where your average will end up.

You know what they say about rising stars? They burn fast and bright then fade away.
I've noticed that since I changed jobs and had to cut back on practice time, my average is going down and the easier shots are a little harder.

This is what happens because I don't practice anymore. Not long ago on league night I started out with a 225 game, then a 167 game and then a 149 game. What the heck happened? Oh yeah, I don't practice. No practice means inconsistency or like my example games all over the place. I will seriously put in some practice time from now on. I had fun doing it anyway. Don't have to worry about scores when I do practice. Just concentrate on things that I want to work on.

One of my team members uses one for medium to heave oil. He is a power tweener with rev around 300. His average is around 220. The Rising star is very angler for him and hits hard but in light oil he starts hitting high and have to switch to a ball that has a less aggressive stock cover. He will throw it over the 3rd arrow and break on the 3 or 4 board into the pocket.
