Why not just throw it straight? I would bet if you threw it straight at the 3-6 the ball would have at least come close to the pocket. Instead of taking revs out (which is what allows more skid) you should have taken axis rotation out.

Last Saturday on our league night we were bowling on the last two lanes which are right by the outside wall and a side entrance right by our lanes. The lanes were dry. I read stuff here about guys saying that if you bowl on the first two or last two lanes by a wall and/or entrance the lane oil will be challenging. Well it was. First game 149, second 159 and third 163. My average is 175. I usually bowl my average or higher. I was struggling just to get these lousy games. Couldn't find the line with any move. My ball was a 15lb Raw Hammer Anger. I had to fight to not go to the brooklin side. Plus the mechanics for the alley kept walking back and forth on the walkway
right next to the last alley we were on. These guys didn't seem to care if somebody was getting ready to bowl on our last two lanes.

The challenges of those outside lanes hammer. That's the reason you don't bowl a 300 every night.

I would have said something to the maintenance guy though. Walking to the back of the lanes should be done while no one is on the approach and that was pretty crappy thing to do.

I'm looking forward to getting my spare ball. I have a pretty decent straight game so if the lanes break down and nothing else is working I'll throw that one and not worry about the oil.

Sounds pretty unfortunate about being beat by the ladies. Hopefully it will be better next time. Just keep working on it and sometimes you have to change your style to bowl straight to be able to keep up with the lanes as well as those ladies.

Getting beat by the girls really wasn't that bad. My wife got a kick out of it too. For several days she sent texts " Girls Rule ". No worries though...just got a blue TZone ball drilled this morning, since they didn't have a 15 lb pink one. Can't beat them, join them. I was at the lanes before the shop opened eager to pick out a ball. Also got to watch the oil machine doing its job. It was a sight to see the oil laid down. Made me feel warm inside. Did get to try out the ball just a few throws. I had oil so I wasn't going to waste it on plastic.
