Default Does your league do this too?

During practice (10 mins), a lot of the people will throw a shot then purposely foul and then let someone else go with a full rack. Then they get mad when I don't and actually try to practice spares. It irritates me too though since I can't get a full frame in when they leave the 2nd ball to me or don't finish their spares.

Yup! I need full rack to track my ball to pocket. Spares are easy to figure out! Sport league everyone fouls unless told not to. Non sport league I get whatever is left and It pisses me off and I have to shadow bowl to see if i'm close to pocket.

I've noticed a couple people that do this, but they just hit the reset button rather than foul. If I throw a couple strikes in a row during practice, I usually go for the 7 or the 10 pin with my spare ball on the first shot, then throw my normal shot 2nd.

I guess I'm lucky I'm in such a relaxed fun league where most of the people have been bowling together for a while, nobody gets mad especially during warm up.

In my Friday morning league we just take 1 shot and the the next person shoots at whats left. There are no reracks. That way you get the most possible shots during warmup
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

Sorry I think this is silly. Practicing spares is important too

hitting the reset button takes time to reset the pins, everyone will have to wait everytime someone hits it

In my leauge during practice it is set up to where you only throw one shot. Nobody has to foul and nobody has to hit the reset button. You can still practice spares with a full rack.

I hate throwing the ball if there isnt a full rack... A lot of times if someone throws the strike and leaves there spare up ill go after that and then shoot my strike ball and whats left my teammate picks off and starts the process over... but when people do that it does irritate me... I know one guy in league says he does it to burn a line for his ball... I dunno its whatever i suppose but still irritating lol

Our leagues allow for both shots, so no one has this problem. I can track my strike ball on a spare if I have to anyways. With 10 minutes you always get to go at least 3 times so it's no big deal.

Sounds like your league should just poll its members and see what the majority want. It's a serious way to play and maybe you're on a serious league.
