I have to admit that I do somewhat base my ball on looks, but I really want to find a ball that suits my bowling style as well. It needs to have a purpose as well as look pretty.![]()
Yeah, I have to say I like the looks of my Marauder, and even though I very rarely bowl under the blacklights, I like the idea of it glowing as it goes down the lane when I do.

At first, i buy my balls from looks but as time goes by and understands the game further, i buy them for their purpose then looks
Sometimes i have bought ball a over ball b when both react similar is because ball a is ugly. And modt ugly balls strike a lot
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

When I buy a ball I consider looks as part of my purchase of a ball. I will not buy a ball if it does not look good to me. So it has to do what I want it to do plus have decent looks.
bought a mission x bcuz i already had a 250k but it was dull so i dumped it for the 250k. practically the same ball. my friends wife buys the bowling ball that smells the best haha.
Dull? Like didn't hook much?
I have to say that I like balls that allow you to see the ball motion better. The Marauder madness although most people like it, I don't care much for the color. But what I do like is the way the colors show me the ball motion as it goes down the lane.
When i got my Track 508A there was 3 other balls i was looking at too. All had kinda the same specs. So when it came down to it i picked the one that i thought looks the best and thats what i got.
Now that I have trouble seeing the ball's rotation on many of them, I'm going to white finger inserts on all of my balls. I use to use a color within the ball to match. I can't even see the rotation at all on my Terror due to the dark blue and black colors with blue finger grips. So if I start to struggle, that ball goes back in the bag so I can see what I'm doing wrong.
