I tried it for awhile, but couldn't quite get my speed high enough to do anything but wheel the whole lane. That made my game VERY condition specific... I'd shoot 770 one week and 550 the next. I chose to go back to 1 handed. However, my two handed teammate dealt with the same issues but stuck with it. Eventually his speed came up, his release got consistent, his average shot up 20-30 pins and he set the county record with a 878. He was a decent, accurate bowler one handed, but simply could not get many revs on the ball. Two-handed was a great choice for him. On the other hand, I have plenty of speed and revs one handed, so there didn't seem to be worth the time. Ultimately the choice is up to you, but you need to realize that the switch will require a LOT of practice to get it consistent. If you don't have the time to put in, I don't recommend it.

Here are a few items to help you along your way. Good luck!

The biggest key to ball speed two handd is the footwork. Watch Belmo or Osku. They have a little hop step in the delivery. I've tried it without the hop, and my ball speed was in the 17mph range. Then I tried it with the hop, and it went up to 19mph.
Sinister is the only way to live.

Well I gave it a shot, but went back to one handed as I'm far more accurate that way. I might try it again but with the next ABT tournament next month, I'm going to just stick to a one handed delivery for now. It will be a fun addition to my bag of tricks once I get the hang of it. Got some odd looks from the bowlers at the next lane over when I tried it. That was fun.

Of course you are more accurate with 1 hand, how long have you been bowling 1 handed? and what about 2 handed?

if you want to get accurate you need to practice, when bowling in league, etc sure bowl "normally" but practice 2 handed on the side and accuracy will come! (I'm not letting you quit)

LOL!! My GF loves this post... I'm sure she'll be along later to comment on it herself.

Alright, we will likely go bowling again tomorrow so if we do I will bowl an entire game two handed and post the results here. If I break 100 bowling that way, I'll be shocked. Stay tuned, folks.

I'm baaaaaaccccckkkkkk! LOL Well, even though I would love to have more purple stuff, including purple stones like a purple sapphire...I would like to be able to see him try it and see how he likes bowling two handed. But since he had his thumb hole fixed in his ball, I think that he will like to stay as a single handed bowler. LOL
