    Default DV8 Misfit

I am thinking about ordering a Misfit pretty soon and I just want to make sure it is a good choice for what I want. I have been throwing a DV8 HRR along with a plastic spare ball and of course I would like a ball that will work better in drier conditions without a dead pocket hit like my spare ball. I prefer to start throwing between the 20 and 25 boards getting pretty close to the edge with some good length and a good angle into the pocket, slowly working my way left. I guess I would be considered a "cranker" I have a high rev rate and throw between 14 and 16mph for the most part. I would rather get a ball less agressive then too aggressive. Tell me what you guys think.

    Thanks

i Think the Misfit would be a great ball for this, the Hrr and a plastic ball.... thats a big variance LOL

the Misfit is a bit closer to the plastic than it is to the hrr, a ball like a marauder would complement the hrr + misfit + plastic.....

that is kinda what I was aiming for once I suck it up and buy a 2+2 bag

and yes the big variance is killing me. I have to make too many adjustments in 3 games it ends up messing up my spares. I am finally getting to the point where I can adjust the axis on the HRR and almost throw it all 3 games....... but now I burn up my teammates lines really fast and he is bowling significantly worse come the 3rd game lol. Luckily with the ammount of revs i put on the ball, I can make a plastic ball move a lot

I think the Misfit would be a good fit. I'm no cranker but when I try to throw a "Hollywood hook" with my Marauder on dry lanes, it burns up too quickly and hits the pocket like a feather (to it's credit, it still hits the pocket though, despite my lack of consistency). In open bowling I have to play down and in in order to get it into the pocket with enough energy left to get decent pin action out of it. A Misfit would not burn out as fast on dry lanes as the Marauder would for you IMHO. Plus it's a less expensive ball which leaves you more money for bowling!

Yes, the Misfit will work great for what you are looking for. There is a big gap between the HRR, andvtge Misfit, and plenty of nice DV8 balls to full in those gaps!

You know bill I was thinking about it. It's the internet, and everyone is a stranger so no one should take it personally. But to some people they really love bowling and come on these boards excited about who they are, how they play, the balls they use, the personal accomplishments they've had. But when they see little jabs like this, personal insults or worse, it can honestly actually make them feel pretty horrible inside. I don't know why. It shouldn't but it does. And I think while that eventually fades the sad fact remains that you are a pathetic human being, a very little person, to come on a bowling forum and insult people. I know who you are in real life but I've not made a single comment about it. It's called decency.
