Did you ever bowl to consecutive games of 290? I have done that last thursday. Unfortunatley the first game was something like 154 for a total of 734.

I watched a guy in my league bowl a 290, then followed it witha 299. 22 straight strikes, and no perfect game.

I have thrown 277, 300, 279 for an 856 waaay back in the olden days, but have never had back to back 300's or 290's. That was as close to that as I have ever gotten...

Dang, that's something. Closest I came was 248, 287, 300. I left a pocket 7-10 in the first game in the ninth frame. Anything makeable and I would have had the house record of 843. Still thrilled with a 835 though. I did it the second time I used my Reckless after a 4 year absence.

I had to teach him how to bowl. Neither of us did until a friend talked me into trying out for the high school team. I had never, ever bowled before a rolled a 158 first time, 138 second game. Luckily only enough tried out that were needed so we all made it. Having him push purposeful practicing from the beginning did help. His football and baseball background gave us a thought of how to practice. Plus when your dad was a drill sargeant you just learn to listen rather than the weird punishments he use to come up with.
