His football and baseball background gave us a thought of how to practice. Plus when your dad was a drill sargeant you just learn to listen rather than the weird punishments he use to come up with.
The first time i picked up a bowling ball i shot a 64 lol

Given Bill's "warped" sense of humor i can just imagine the punishments he would come up with....

When she was a little one, about 4 or 5 she went to the store with the neighbors. Krista ate broccoli in the store, stealing. I made her writ a report about the affects theft had on the store and society. She had to re-do it three times. It still sucked but she got the point.
When she was 15 she didn't do the dishes 3 days in a row. I took her hair dryer, curling iron, make-up, nice clothes, etc to work with me. Left her sweats and flip flops for school. The dishwasher got run every day after that.
My nephew copped a 'tude with adults and wouldn't listen to them when he was 12. I got him for 2 weeks. I got him up at dawn, breaks for food and done at dusk. Had him cut the grass with scissors and rake it with a toothbrush. I had just over 5 acres then. He is very respectful now.

I've always said I learned to be a parent at the Drill Sargent Academy. Received my practice time with the recruits for a few months before the war allowed me to go back to my unit.
