Default Walking the path of the ball..

Ok I tried this, and kept trying to picture it on the lanes. It just doesn't make sense to me that this would be better. Trying to visually see a line and walk it sent me all over the place. I felt like I had to stand way to the left.. and the angles were never accurate.

To me walking straight toward the foul line while opening my body up toward the target would keep me much more consistent.

Whichever way you do it, that makes you comfortable in your approach, should be the way to go. Don't try to conform to a unique style if it makes you uncomfortable. Too many people try to do things exactly like the book, i.e., Chris Barnes, and fail, because they get frustrated. Get to a point where you are comfortable, work on your consistency and accuracy, and create YOUR style. No two bowlers are alike and that goes for their bowling style as well. Work diligently on YOUR style and it will pay dividends in the end.
