They don't need sensors in the bowling ball since they have C.A.T.S. (Computer Automated Tracking System) that can tell ball speed, trajectory, rev rate, path and everything on the lane.
With the bowling industry as it is, you can't get too much more expensive with the equipment. It is not as popular as the main sports so you won't see as much technology and fervor going into every aspect of the game like you do with the major sports of the country.
