Ball99999, you made an adjustment to try something different. Congrats to you for having the guts to do it. Like the man said, it's only a $10 slug and no more barbaric than a bevel tool to shave it out. I think the first impression of the original post came across way more extreme in people's mind than he said or intended. As he posted, ALMOST to the point that there was no slug left at the bottom. At no point did he say the dremel went into the ball itself. Wow, I'm usually the first person that reads too much into Ball's posts and even I understood what he said and did this time.
Did you have a chance to bowl with it yet to see if it helped with your release and reaction?

Yep, I thought he had drilled into the ball itself, not a cheap slug so that's why I thought it was crazy, but now that he's clarified that, I stand corrected. Neither of my balls have slugs in the thumbhole, so when he said he dremeled the thumbhole, I was like OMGWTF!!! My bad...
