the blue hammer does wonders on light to dry oil
What ball in your srsenal do you turn to? Most of the equipment I own is fairly aggressive and I have found that I tend to struggle late in a shift due to my balls burning up early. That being the case, I am thinking about getting a ball that is less aggressive. What do you think abut a Roto Grip Dark Star? What do you use??

When the lanes are down & heads are burned out,it is time to bring out the Roto Grip Shout!

Personally I do one of two things. I try to go to a ball that is a bit smoother reacting, one that evens out the hook a lot. In my bag this is the Brunswick Lethal Revolver. If that doesn't work, I go to a ball that gets further down the lane before hooking and then moving my feet way left and playing a deeper line on the lane or creating a big loop if it is really dry. Sometimes a loft can give some more length to the hook if needed.

I have been working with my new Blue Hammer urethane ball lately. I bowled 6 test games today. This ball loves dry to medium dry lanes. Today I stood on the approach with square shoulders and my sliding foot anywhere between the third and fourth dot on the approach. I was throwing between the first and second arrow and sometimes over the second arrow. This turned out to be it's strike pocket target. It goes straight down the boards nicely and has a nice controlled hook to the pocket. I pre-set my hand for a little or more revs to see what worked best for the strike hit. When I bowled this way in my first warmup game I bowled a 234. When I was through trying different things in games two to five I went back to the first game setup and bowled a 236. Not bad for an easy hooking urethane ball. So for THS oil on league night this is a great ball if you like high score games that is. So if you buy one of those aggressive balls and you bowl on THS oil on league night you might want to try a urethane ball like the Blue Hammer. It will be easier on your nerves and you just might like the high scores you might get with it.
Storm Natural Pearl normally. Tonight I just moved with the Marauder and it still carried well. Oh and I moved my feet left for a change. I can't go any further right than 20 with that ball/lay out combo.

Y'all are going to shake your heads but I use a Hammer Taboo jet black on burned out lanes. If it gets really bad then I have to loft the ball over the left gutter but it still hits hard.
I go to my only ball and just move left.
