OK, I was the (to date) the lone voice of dissent. But allow me to explain why.

I think everyone deserves a second chance. I know I got off on somewhat of the wrong foot with him myself, which only led to him getting defensive in return, and for that I apologize. Bowlers sometimes get a reputation for being surly old folks and the last thing I want to do is drive anyone away from the sport just because I don't agree with something they said. So I'd prefer for Ball to stay and instead of being defensive with the members who respond to his questions, I'd like to see him try some of the advice offered, including posting a video of himself bowling. I've learned a TON from this site and been pointed to EVEN MORE great resources that have really helped me improve my game. To do that required an open mind and the knowledge that even though I've been bowling for 30 years (I've been at this since I was 10 off and on) I obviously needed help with my game and the members here are a literal wealth of bowling knowledge, with hundreds of years of collective experience. To turn anyone away from such a resource just doesn't seem right to me. So I'd like for him to stay and enjoy his time here rather than feel like an outcast.

He has been asked on this site AND several others to post a video. Still won't do it. He also asks the same questions and gets the same answers on those sites.
He is either an idiot or a great bowler who enjoys screwing with people.
Calling me names, that's ok. Picking on a disabled person and the continued personal attacks, screw him.

I do respect your choice and the fact you were not only willing to own it but explain it as well.

    Thanks Bill.

Don't get me wrong, part of that second chance means the attacks on others need to stop. To get respect, you give it - that was something I was taught by my old man and it's still as true today as it was the day he first said it to me.

To sum up, if he really wants to learn and improve his game, I'm willing to let him stick around. If he just wants to start crap with other members and ask questions just to pooh-pooh the answers given though, then that would change my mind about whether or not he should stay. I'm always willing to give someone a second chance but rarely do I give them a third one.

i gotta tell ya, this site is alot more lenient on this sort of thing than every other forum that i belong to (all non bowling forums). every other site that i know of would have dropped the ban hammer on him before he got this out of hand. he is very disrespectful and insulted many members. i keep opening threads hoping to get a little second hand advice but keep finding petty fights. he has been given many chances. if it was an isolated incident then a second chance would be warranted but this is getting rediculous. i wanted to keep quiet and stay out of it but if this continues i think i might just have to take a break from the boards for a few days, check back and see if it has settled down yet. i came here to learn from people and make a few new friends, not to watch temper tantrums unfold in front of me.

Sorry our behavior is interfering with what you really came here for. I'm being serious, not sarcastic. Hopefully the pettiness will be over tomorrow. I dropped it after he PMed me calling me names but I won't this time. Calling a person with a brain injury a "retard" is totally unacceptable to me.
