So if you got 12 brooklyn strikes in a game you wouldn't count it because they weren't in the pocket? Bowling is luck sometimes when it comes to pin carry. People can smash the pocket all day and leave solid 10 pins. The next shot they can come up a little lite or high on the head pin and carry.

I think it would drive me nuts but I would still count it. I have good enough technique now but brooklyns are basically like a happy accident. Good technique gives some accident forgiveness.

Part of is that I have a medium spin cyclone, and my friend has a heavier spin ball (think its called 508 or something). I find my ball easier to control. His strikes hit brooklyn a lot. I tell him to move his feet left, but he's stubborn, wants to figure it out on his own.

I don't think it's stubborn so much as it feels like a puzzle. When you have other people finish a puzzle for you it's not as fun.

Great start at bowling, many never reach you're scoring levels. I do agree that spare conversion is key
