Do you have more fun with heavy oil or medium oil balls?

Heavy oil/high performance balls or medium oil/medium coverstocks, possibly older high performance coverstocks..

Now that I have experience with heavy oil balls and how they create constant traction, I like my medium oil balls better. For broken down lanes they make a bigger turn at the end.

The commercials always make the high performance balls seem more fun though.

If I get fresh oil THS I like to use my Defiant or Bullwhip SE! If it's broken down lanes or a light/medium oil I like to use my beserk,508A or Shout. If I want a real challenge,i'll whip out my neXus Solid and see if I can keep it on the lane.

i can use my hammer on any lane thanks to my ball speed if light oil i move left if heavy move right

I shoot better scores throwing strait, but wide arcing is real fun to do, but is less accurate and powerful.

More fun? no, I don't bowl in heavy oil at this point, so buying a high performance ball that i wouldn't use would be pointless..

Having had my only 3 700 plus games lately with medium oil ball, The Marauder, including my last one 749 last Monday! I have to say medium oil ball by DV!! Sometimes more is not better!! LOlL

I have fun bowling! Who cares what equipment you are using? This is like asking if I have more fun eating chocolate ice cream over vanilla ice cream........
If equipment dictates the fun factor, I guess it is time to pick something else to do. Obviously equipment can help you bowl better but in the end you have to use it correctly.
This post seems to be pointless as so far everyone who has posted has pointed out it is about your style and lane conditions rather than the actual ball.

But no, ball type definitely makes a big difference and yes it is a big part of the fun for me.

And yah, it has to do with lane conditions that was the point.

No your original post subject is "Do you have more fun with heavy oil or medium oil balls?" Where in that subject does it mention lane conditions? You have a big problem if certain balls are fun for you. Enjoy the game of bowling not the balls of bowling.

Not to pick sides, but when I read the title I also interpreted it as what conditions I would use them under. Sure, I could use the wrong ball for the wrong condition, but it could still be fun. However, it seems you interpreted the title literally. The title as it reads is a little ambiguous, yeah.
