Bowl1820 suggested a balance hole in the P2 area and he is spot on. This will make your ball legal (given the hole is drilled the right size) and will have a minimal effect on your performance. Fear not...

VERY good point!! I think thats my problem, and many others also! I have 4 powerful high end balls! I would have given my kingdom for a Urethane bowling ball last night in league! Started out with a 236, then the oil was gone by the second game, with 5 man teams 10 bowlers. I might look into a low in ball for dry lanes! Jason brought up a good point the other night! He was trying to, (while bowling league teach me another delivery path)! Standing at 30 board, and aiming between 15 and 20! I was not comfortable with that mainly because I have not practiced that delivery! Today during our two hour practice I will give it a shot.
Everybody wants the newest badest high end ball out there, but in reality to handle all lane conditions you need a balanced group of balls…. GOOD POINT!

    Pardon my ignorance:

Why would a ball be considered illegal without a balance hole? How would one know if they are required to have a balance hole? Perhaps my ball has been illegal for 6 years??? hahahaha.

This is the first I've ever heard, but I'm far from an expert... I'm just curious!

After a ball is drilled, it should be checked to make sure that one side isn't significantly heavier than the other side of the ball. If it doesn't fall within the tolerances, a balance hole needs to be drilled to bring it into compliance.
