Default Looking to buy new ball

    Hey guys

I joined my first bowling league about 3 months ago and ive been getting really into bowling. I started off with the house balls then found my dads old AMF Ultra Angle and Regular angle balls from when he used to bowl in the 80's and have been using those for about 2 months. Theyre both drilled for left hand and i am right handed but it hasnt been a huge deal although a ball drilled for me would be much better. With that being said im looking to purchase a new modern age ball. I cant give you guys exact numbers but i throw a two finger hook ball with higher speed and moderate revs and the lanes are usually medium to medium heavy oil. I usually throw it 2 arrows in on the right side of the lane straight and it just slightly hooks into the pocket. My highest game was a 169 with about a 130 avg. Looking for suggestions and i will also be asking the owner of the bowling shop i plan on going to as he is supposedly highly knowledgeable. Thanks in advance bros

Any ball drilled for your hand is gonna improve your game. With that being said you could look into one of the entry level balls ie. brunswick slingshot.

well a ball then you should look into some of the DV8 lineup like the misfit (entry lvl) or the reckless(mid performace) and if you want soemthing that will hook then you can look at the hell raiser series.

id say the misfit is above entry level but DV8 has only good things coming from it so i would for sure go with that

I have a Slingshot and it is really nice rolling ball! Karma solid or pearl will also work for you.

You might also want to look into the Storm Tropical Breeze line. These are very good as well...

high performance balls tend to be the stronger balls for heavier oil and cost more.

entry level balls tend to be for lower volumes of oil. (But there exceptions some can be quite strong) and cost less.

Right handed Stroker, high track ,about 13 degree axis tilt. PAP is located 5 9/16” over 1 3/4” up.Speed ave. about 14 mph at the pins. Medium rev’s.High Game 300, High series 798

so since my bowling alley usually has medium to medium heavy oil, would that mean i should look into more mid grade balls vs an entry ball?
