On a night when strikes were hard to come by, I spared them to death and scored 188, 229, 200 for a 617 with my Marvel S.

First game I felt good - missed a 7 pin but other than that it was a decent game. Second game was a disaster. I moved right and threw across the 3rd arrow to start the game with a strike, then a 9 / and then 6 3 followed by a 6 3 so I switched to the Melee. Started to salvage the game with a double and then the wheels fell off - missed a 7 pin. Missed an easy 2 pin spare. Then the bucket. Finally I struck out to help win the game and save a little face with a 171. 3rd game I was super inconsistent X X 9- X X 9- XXX 8/ X. The first open was the 10 pin??? The second the 7 pin. I was 2 for 5 on the 7 pin - really killed my series. Mental mistakes. But overall I really like how my game is coming together. If I can just keep focus I think I will definitely be back to my previous form from 2008 in the 202-209 average range consistently shooting 600+. The 3rd arrow shot gives me another way to adjust - thanks V dub. I like the ball change - even if it is a mental edge it helps. It's all slowly coming together.

Absolute trainwreck. Mental mistakes. Not getting any breaks. Nothing I did was working. If I started over I would have focused solely on the 3rd arrow shot all night. I tried it at the end with some limited success - I hit 2 out of 4 strikes and the other 2 were 9s. So at least if I was shooting 3rd arrow all night I would have bumped my scored up significantly. I felt bad until I watched the masters yesterday and saw Belmo and others struggling.

Struggled bad on Friday night. Friday nights have been challenging for me this year anyway. By the time Friday rolls around, I'm exhausted. Fri night league is a mixed league, so the lanes are inconsistent from week to week, depending on number of straight bowlers. Mentally, I was not prepared. Couldn't pick up spares. I'm usually a 10 pin killer, and I kept missing Friday, badly. 215, 165, 142. Team lost all 4, 2 by less than 5 pins. NOT a good night for me. I needed a bowling ball about the size of a beach ball.

Lanes started off oily and really broke down the end of the second game. Left some points on the floor missing a 10 pin and a 4-8 where I chopped the 4, throw in some splits and eh.

197-190-200 = 587

Better night last night than Saturday for sure. Just felt a touch off - I felt like I was working way too hard for these scores. Maybe it didn't help we were bowling against one of the league's best teams and they rip off huge scores like it's child's play. Funny thing I was the only lefty. I watched their 4th bowler throw a 299 first game and 2 guys next to us on the same team bowled 279 (and they are twins, lol). So then 2nd game our lanes and their lanes were shot - completely broke down on the right side. My left side was still perfect, unfortunately I was not. I made very little adjustments last night - didn't need to. There was a sea of oil out there and it was lovely. So I shot the First Blood in first and second game - 7th frame 2nd game I threw the Melee but didn't like how it rolled - still too much oil for it out there. Then 3rd game I decided I am going to change it up a bit - instead of my normal increasing speed I broke out the Melee first frame and I went from 17mph back down to 15mph and just worked on being smooth - frames 1-9 every throw was picture perfect. Unfortunately I got tapped 80% of the those frames. Some of them were quite humorous - the pins completely devastated and 1 pin just standing there like a middle finger. I made small adjustments time after time and would leave different pins - 4, 7, 10. Could have easily been a 250+ game but not to be. Ended with a X in the 9th followed up by an X in the 10th and then just a complete mental meltdown throwing the ball under 15mph and leaving the 2-4-6-9 split. We ended up taking 4 points so that was good. Finally climbed out of last place for second half.

Two fair games and one I can't even explain, had either splits(that I went 0 for) or blown easy spares.

234 - 225 - 202 = 661 notes; Game 1, 3-10 chopped, flat 10 made, bomb 7 made, remainder strikes! Game 2, 6-10 chopped, flat 10 made, bomb 8 made, remainder strikes! Game 3, flat 10 made, 6-10 chopped, 4-7 made, bucket chopped left a 5pin, remainder strikes! Maybe someone could give advice on how not to chop these spares? I did use my spare ball except for the cross-lane bucket.
