Brutal night. Between traffic because people that live here drive like Aslan like they never drove in the snow so my 15 minute drive turned into 1 hour 15 and I was late so I missed practice. Then people just walk in the bowling alley with snow all over their shoes / boots and track it all over like it won't matter if you get water on your slide shoe. So I had to keep my shoe covers on except on the approach. Big pain to keep putting them on and taking them off. Then on top of it it was only 4 of us bowling on both lanes - the girl on the other team kept trying to hurry me up and making comments she wanted to hurry up and get out of there so she could go eat. I was tempted to tell her the snack bar is over there and if time is an issue maybe she should just stay home - but I figured I would try not to make any new friends. We lost 5 - second game by 1 pin and won 3rd game by 1 pin. Just not a good night of bowling for me.

Don't let yourself get stressed by other players! Next time tell her she's welcome to hurry if she wants to, but you don't have any obligations and you will take as much time as you need (and is allowed ). I'm not saying you need to be a dick about it and go extra slow, but you are allowed a certain time period on the approach....if you're trying for good scores, don't let other people hurry you up.

Thanks for the advice and I hear you. Just one of those people that get under your skin. Not sure talking would help so I bit my tongue and just bowled on.

Tuesday. Man oh man it was fire and frigid ice.

First game I was locked in. Just hitting my mark. Felt awesome. First 6, spare, 3 more and then an 8 1 to end the game. Second game just couldn't do anything but was getting spares so pulled off a decent game. Had 3 strikes and ended with a 194 so I was happy with it. 3rd game the wheels fell off and I couldn't strike or spare. Was completely devastated to throw such a big game in the 1st game and not get a 600. Ca la vie I reckon. Live to bowl another day. But was good to get a big game finally - haven't been able to hit that mark all year.

Don't want to talk about it but... just a rough night, just shot average on games 1 and 2, but the 3rd, things went south,
1st frame, left lane, ringing 10,
2nd frame, right lane, flat 10
minor adjustment
3rd frame, left lane, 9 pin,
same minor adjustment
4th frame, right lane, 9 pin
at the end of 6th frame had 6 9/spares.
and then things got worse.
i pulled out my sync(should of left it in the bag), poor thing was dead on arrival, only has 350 games on it? i shot a lot of great games with it but its retiring to the garage.
sorry, i digress, in short we won the game but no thanks to me...
funny how some balls work better in some houses,

Last Saturday
200, 243, 174 = 617

Felt pretty good. Last game I was getting weird 1 pin leaves on solid pocket hits. Maybe it was the barometric pressure. Kept adjusting and kept leaving the 3 pin or something else odd like that. We took 3 out of 7 points so not a lost cause. Still in striking distance of first place.

Weird night last night.

256 was a clean game, had 7 in a row but a 10 pin in the 10th kept it from being a better game.
Threw the ball too softly a few frames in a row, missed a 10 pin and missed a split, but struck out for a 197.
Last game, started off with a missing 10 pin, then a pocked 7-10. Adjusted in 3/4's of a board and ripped off 10 nice hard hitting strikes for a 257.

Second 700 series of the year, I had a bit more back swing then normal as an adjustment to my swing. Worked out pretty well last night.

Well didn't get my new ball because of the snow storm / below 0 temperatures (got down to -20 real temp with windchill around -50) so I threw the old ball last night. Felt pretty good. Last game I was right there just struggled to pick up a 7 pin spare and another easy spare that cost me 20-40 pins.
