I am thinking about getting the Nexus 7 any thoughts? I will go up to 300.00 but anything over that is not an option! What are your thoughts 75lockwood on the Nexus 7?
If you are just looking for something android based to run a bowling program on check out local stores like big lots, family dollar or any other discount stores. You should be able to find a tablet for around $50 that will run a scoring app. Then you'll have a few hundred left to buy another ball.![]()
Nexus is a nice enough device, what are you looking to do with it?
if you just want it for tracking bowling there are a lot of cheap tablets under 200.
Tablets i have tried and like:
Motorola xoom: under $300 and quite powerful
Asus Transformer/transformer prime: the transformer was on sale for $200 on cyber Monday, its a great tablet with a detachable keyboard. the transformer prime is the same but has upgraded hardware.

If I get one it will be the the idea of using it with our camper! I would want to sign up with a phone service that's reasonable! I also want one that has a good selection of apps, like bowing, maybe golf ect! My wifes kindle fire, seems lacking in that department, and cannot be used with a phone service!
any tablet should be able to use a phones network connection, just turn on the hotspot/tethering.
Personally if i get a new tablet it will be either the transformer prime or perhaps it's successor...
android does not lack it the app department.
and it plays something other that mp4(yes i just took a shot at apple)
