anybody have any major chips or wear and tear on their bowling balls? I have noticed one particular alley where I have been getting a lot of wear and tear on my ball...

Most of my balls have battle scars. As long as it's not in the track I don't worry about it.

I just had a gouge fixed in my Nail.
It wasn't in my track, but it bothered me because it was just left of my ring finger hole.
It only cost me five bucks to have the gouge filled and the ball sanded and polished.
I noticed that I get more ball damage at my local AMF than at Brunswick.

When I was younger ( maybe 13 or 14) , I had this plastic ball that has a "scream" face on it. One day, I released it going for the ten pin, and it literally just cracked in half. Was a terrible day.
well the crappy thing is that the chips happen to be in my track...idk what it is...i mean like quarter sized chips about three or four of them...
I've often wondered (and it will depend on the size and placement of the chip/ding as much as anything):
Do you think it makes as much a difference as our minds tell us? I think this is another instance where our minds do all the thinking and there might not be an actual huge difference if we were to apply actual physics to it. Of course if a dollar coin sized chip on the track will make a difference, but I've seen many people complain about a millimeter sized scrape as if it would completely change everything they ever knew about bowling. I've always had my reservations about that.
In those instances, I believe it will only effect your ball as much as you allow yourself to BELIEVE it will.
Not helping the situation since 1983.
