    Default This is madness!!

I received my marauder madness on friday and i went straight to the proshop and drilled it right away.
They lanes were kind of dry but i was still impressed how it performed OOB. i shot 186 with only two opens and all shots hit the pocket and most left the 7 or 10 pin.

Here's the layout of the ball and tell me how this ball reacts, all i know is that goes long. i throw 15-16mpg with 400-450revs.

ill post a video throwing it the next time i go to the lanes

Hard to tell exactly with a pic but it should go fairly long, read the friction and snap back really well. Enjoy!

Those Marauder's seem to be very popular balls on this forum. It's strange. I don't know anyone who throws one.

I just bought a Lane #1, but I'm in a bowling league that has a pretty good amount of people from the New England area and a lot of them throw Lane 1 (Syracuse company). I threw a droid, it felt fine, so I bought one.

I'll have to look into this Marauder thing next time I need a ball. But since it's been 6 years since I bought my last ball, that might be quite a ways away and so much changes...

Hmmm... Tell you the truth, I'd never heard much about them! Down here (in TX), about the only balls that get a lot of publicity are Storm and Hammer. I currently have a Hammer, and I love it, BUT... I just wanted to try that Lane 1 out for a while.

I will say, I hadn't been keeping up with manufacturers very much while I was away from league bowling, but I was SHOCKED to see Hammer's Black Widow series is gone! That seemed to be such a staple for such a long time. Looks like they took the core and put it in the Taboo balls, but wow. It just doesn't seem like Hammer without Black Widow.

Nice! Another madness user! Mine is just like that but pin over the being finger. I do leave a lot of 7's and 10's.

Not always but a good rule of thumb. I once went from the 40 over the 23 with one ball to changing balls and going straight up 5. Unfortunately both left me a 7-10 split.
2 & 1s generally change the entry angle while still getting to the same break point area.
