well for dry lanes a urethane ball is good.
or you can get a entry lvl ball there's alot of them out from all different brands my favourite is the c300 freeze has nice continuation down the lane and hits the pins hard.
thanks for all the comments, everyone has been a great help
i currently bowl with a jet black taboo(which i love) but sometimes(usually dry lanes) my ball will hook too much, so i usually start further left... i was wondering what ball/balls are made to go longer(further down lane)? thanks in advance

My dry lanes ball is an older Columbia Messenger, which is the same core as the Freeze. It does hit hard. Otherwise any manufacturer's entry level ball would serve you well. Hammer offers the Nail Smoke and Fire which is a pretty awesome color scheme IMHO
I have a Slingshot and it's perfect for dry lanes!
Zothen
Sligshot, Cyclone or urethane. I like the Storm Natural Pearl urethane myself.
