Thread: Working in a bowling center?

  1. #1

Default Working in a bowling center?

Are we a lot to work in a bowling center?

What is your work? What is the center's name? Web site?

I am at the control center at Salon 600 in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec. It is a 18 alley bowling center. I began to work part time since a month. It's kind of a hobby for me.

I have to absolutely love bowling to work until 3 am (cosmic bowling) and to go play a regional league for 8 am this morning ahah

I coach at Bel-Mar Lanes in Sidney, Ohio. I'm not an employee of the center though. It's a small 12 wood lane alley. As the only volunteer coach of the Youth League the owner gave me free practice time and doesn't charge me lineage when I coach the kids outside of league so I don't charge the kids for their lessons.
I bowl 3 leagues there and sub in as many others as possible. It's also where the county's City Tournament is held as it's the only center in the county. Also, being so small we don't even have an on-site pro shop.

I'm retired. I Pastored Baptist churches for 30 years and now I bowl. Our local lane has free bowling for seniors on Monday 1-3 P.M., Wednesday is no taps 1-3 P.M. and Friday is Senior league. I usually practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I bowl all week. Being retired is nice! I don't work there but I think sometimes I live there.

That's great! Guess it also explains why you didn't list any Sunday bowling.

I was invited to the alley's company Christmas party today by the owner. I thought that was a very nice gesture so I will go out of respect if nothing else.

I work in an ally. Part of a uk branch called Bowlplex. I'm a lane technician so get to fix and test the lanes. I get bowling for free so go a few times a week and have recently started bowling in one if our leagues. I'm a mechanic by trade and I love bowling so fixing the machines and getting free bowling is great lol

Naaaah... I don't want to associate my fun with work. I wouldn't want to mess around with machines that break, and people doing dumb things that I'd need to fix. It just seems like something I wouldn't want any part of. I'll stick to my day job and keep my bowling hobby.
