I don't have shoe protectors but I do have a pair of bowling shoes where my non-slide shoe has a normal rubber sole vs a slide sole. so if I leave the lanes I just take off my slide shoe and walk around with only 1 shoe on.
That gets me some looks![]()
I have those weird kind of feet where I can slip in and out of shoes even if they are tightly tied, so instead of shoe protectors I just slip off my bowling shoes and slip my street shoes back on. My bowling shoes (for the most part) stay at the lane at all times when they are not in my bowling bag. I guess that's how they've lasted for 10+ years lol!

I never wear my protectors, im too lazy to keep putting them on and taking them off. i'll put my regular shoes on if i need to go to the bathroom but walkin anywhere else i keep my bowling shoes on. i always just slide my foot a few times before i set up my shot to make sure i'm good to go.
I have one shoe protector for my slide foot. i use it whenever i am walking away from the lane, like going to the snackbar or using the restroom.

I've never worn 'em, so I guess no.
Eventually in life you do the right thing and don't worry about a fool laughing at you. I always wear one on my sliding shoe when I leave the area I'm bowling. Once I didn't have the protector on, shoe got a little damp somehow and I went to slide and I stopped dead still and the ball pulled me forward and onto my butt. It then took me several games to have any confidence in sliding and that really screws up your game. So use one or one day you will wish you did.
I always wear them. I get annoyed at bowlers who step in something on the way back to their lanes, and cause problems for other bowlers.

not really, but I think mine make people think I am a pro. Before having them, nobody asked me if I was on tour. I personally do not like them, but I want to take care of my shoes.
Always, always, always. Until they get misplaced. Now I have to buy more.
