Ball speed is probably 15-16 high side on revs. those are both guestimates as I've never measured either. I need to look into at least the ball speed measurment.
This wasn't on Fresh oil either and my old ball had been sitting in the shop and had some oil coming up to the surface(didn't take care of that ball plan to do better with the misfit)
We'll see tonight... I go back in to see how the weight hole did and I have a league on fresh oil right after that so.....

Looks like I am going to have to learn to bowl again. lol this time with more ball speed.
I had planned to find a local coach once I got the new ball drilled and now it looks like I will need to.

Now to get a new camcorder 'for the wife' so that she can film stuff and put it straight to computer.... I may borrow it to get some video of my swing

If your guess is close you should be alright speed wise. Your old ball having that much oil in it, is a sign that you are not used to a ball with no oil on it! Depending on the coverstock of your old ball compared to the new clean and maybe more aggressive coverstock on the misfit you may just not be used to how to play it. Think of it as the DV8 Misfit having snow tires and the old ball having bald tires. One is going to grab faster, and if you are used to that reaction it is tough to know how to react.

If that is the case move inside a bit to oil.

I think that is exactly what my problem is.

I have gotten used to throwing balls that are completely soaked with oil (to the point where if I held it for long the heat from my hand would bring the oil up)

Now that I get my hands on a ball drilled for my hand and with a clean cover it just keeps moving and doesn't stop

I mean this Misfit was hooking as much as the Aura Demo ball I tried at another lane the week before.

    1. Move left!
    2. make sure to clean ball off with a cleaner after you are done bowling
    3. Enjoy new ball!

People think I am crazy after bowling as I am spraying down my balls and cleaning them up before I leave. My brother even made the comment that "it is a bowling ball, it isn't meant to stay looking brand new". I then gave him the lecture on it wasn't about looks.

I think being uninformed could possibly cost you 10-20 pins on average. Just a guess.

The problem I have is that I can't move any more left. I moved all the way to my left leg touching the ball return.

I'll give an update after tonight. With the weight hole and bowling on a fresh pattern I am hoping I can get more back over to my comfort area.

So unfortunately I wasn't able to get the ball before league. (594 with a 144 first game stupid off games)

After league I went to the pro shop and tried the ball with the weight hole. it was a little calmer but still couldn't stay right of the headpin. They deepened the weight hole... again better but still too much ball. If I straightened my wrist and was careful to stay behind the ball I could stay right of the headpin by standing 28 and going over 12 at the arrows. but just barely right of headpin.

He adjusted the weight hole again (wider) and said he didn't want to make it any bigger and the next step would be to alter the surface.

Tried something different and sighted ~10 board around 45 feet standing 28 and that made ALL the difference. Gave me the length I had been looking for.

Found out my PAP is 6 1/4 and 1/8 up. Pin is a little below and 1-2 inches right of the ring finger. I should have asked the drilling angles but the guy at the pro shop wasn't the guy that drilled it. oh and the weight hole is about 1" towards the pin from my PAP
