ouch. that definitely sucks. We have a house like that here. It'll have the same shot for weeks and then it will drastically change but the house swears they put out the same oil pattern.

If it is like the one here stick with it and you'll start being able to make drastic adjustments off of the reaction you get on the first ball you throw.

example I always start my fist shot from the same mark. if it strikes great if not I move my feet and mark based on where the ball ended up, where the breakpoint was, and the overall reaction of the ball.

I am still getting it down but practice really does help. I am saving myself extra warmup time by for example jumping 5-3 right on the second shot rather than moving 2-1 right each time over 3-4 shots.

Wish I could help you more with ideas but the adjustments are different depending on your style and how the ball looks on the lane.

I had been struggling with a consistent release for the last few weeks, but I finally had a break through while practicing about a week ago. I knew that the real test for the changes would be whether or not I was able to perform during my Sunday night league. The first game was a clean 204 (which thoroughly miffed my other male teammate; he's been after a clean game ever since league started and he wasn't happy that I got one before he did), second was a 211, and the last game was a 182. I missed getting my first 600 series in that house by 3 pins, but I consider my release changes to have been fire-tested now. That house is notoriously difficult to score well in.

Things are finally starting to click for me during my Sunday night league. Last night's scores were 187, 161, 214. The second game was a lot better than the score indicates. The only open frames were some nasty splits that I left as the lanes started to transition. The last game I didn't even realize I was over 200 until after the second ball of the 10th frame. I hadn't been paying attention to my score at all. The third game is the best league score that I have to date in my Sunday night league.

    Tuesday night scores: 159,214,182

The first game I was having trouble with my wrist brace and threw four open frames right off the bat. Put the brace back in the bag and things got a lot better.

Last week was pitiful, so I'll spare everyone having to read those scores. However, this week's scores have been a lot better. Sunday night's scores were 188, 168, 177, which are pretty good for me in that particular house. Tuesday night's scores were 220, 179, 224. I tensed up at the start of the second game and it took me about five frames to remember to relax.

    Sunday night scores: 222, 232, 158

The lanes broke down really quickly at the beginning of the third game, and I didn't transition quickly enough. Left three or four opens in the first 5 frames.
