    Default Spare ball balance HOLE???

Funny the spare ball that fell apart after two months of use, (Storm 1), now, for some reason tracks off to the side of the thumb hole??? could it be the plugs that changed the rotation of the ball?? Then my question is, could a balance hole make a spare ball track off a thumb hole? Has anyone ever had a balance hole drilled on their spare ball. Before the repair it tracked right across the center of thumb, now off to the side clearly! I use to hear a Thump,,,,,thump,,,, thump..... all the way to the 10 pin! Could the ball falling apart, been its way of saying to me,,," I need help Iceman, your killing me,,, I am going thumb!!!!" LOL

Spare balls should not have a balance hole, since their not suppose to hook! Sounds like it's time for a new spare ball! Your core may have seperated and causing the ball to roll funny. Just a guess!

I'm confused. His spare ball is fine now (right, Mike?). Before you were not happy about tracking over the thumb, now you aren't tracking over the thumb... Isn't that what you wanted? Reading that, you kind of made it sound like it does have balance hole, but just to be clear, it doesn't. You're just wondering if it's possible, right?

Balance holes can do more than make a ball hook. You can have one in a spare to make the statics legal or make it go a little straighter.

Here's my old Zebra 2 spare ball notice the hole on the right it was right on my PAP.

Right handed Stroker, high track ,about 13 degree axis tilt. PAP is located 5 9/16” over 1 3/4” up.Speed ave. about 14 mph at the pins. Medium rev’s.High Game 300, High series 798

Yes, I think with the pulgs it has changed the roll somewhat! ITs just off the thumb hole now! A good thing in my book, a mor accurate roll, with no thumping!
I think the redrill had something to do with the change. Thats why I am asking, can a balance hole be put on a spare ball to make it roll OFF THE THUMB HOLE.

how much did it cost to plug and redrill? spare balls are cheap (not viz a balls) and you can pick one up for $60-80
