Default Got my brother a ball for Christmas

Bought him a Columbia Freeze....he's been using a 25 year old hammer drilled for his father in law. This is the ball he's gonna learn to throw a hook with. Got it in 14lbs to make it easier for him to learn on. He's gonna love it and ill guess we will see how he does...

been using original AMF Angles from the 80's drilled for my dad when he bowled in the 80's. Went from straight bowling to 2 finger hook to 3 finger hook with these baby's. Decided to get in to this century so i got a used too reckless off ebay. Best of luck to your brother!

Freeze should be a great ball. I have an old Messenger pearl that has the same core. Had it cleaned up this year and its my go to for dryer conditions.

BTW, you are an awesome brother!

lol....its new....the best thing is I went to a different pro shop than normal. The guy there was super helpful. I told him I may want a balance hole in my Marauder and if I get a new ball for christmas it will need drilled too. He said he'd like to see me bowl to decide exactly what I need. Very encouraging.... the guy I've been using doesn't seem real enthusiastic...this guy did. He's giving my brother a deal on the dsrilling. As soon as christmas is over I got some foul line drills in mind to get my brother on the path pof throwing a hook.

Nice gift. That should be a great ball to learn the skills of throwing a hook ball. From what I have read on this site that is a good ball for light to moderate oil conditions.
