Had a real breakthrough today!

I had a little free time today so I went to my center to practice. Only had time for a few games, but I rolled out a 195, 246 and 236 with my new DV8 Terror. First time I have rolled a 600 series since getting back into bowling this year.

I know it doesn't count for anything and its not sanctioned, but I am still very pleased with it and especially with my new DV8 Terror.

First game I stared with 3 opens and finished with a 5 bagger

Second game started spare, 5 bagger, whiffed a 10 pin in the 7th frame, and closed the rest off the frames

Last game was all clean with a hambone and a turkey.

Easily the most strikes I have thrown consistently, 21 out of 34 throws at a full rack were strikes. Only 4 open frames and three of them were the first three frames. Let's just hope I can remember how to do this Wednesday and Thursday night when it counts.

Congrats! when you throw a 600 man do you throw one

I have thrown a few game around 225-230, but never back to back or consistently. There is usually a crappy game in the middle. Just felt good, was hitting my mark. Is as looking at the games a little more and there was only one frame after the first three frames I didn't get a strike or 9 pins on the first ball. I think my new ball fits me pretty well

WOW! Those are great games for a new ball. What is your average and where do you place your feet on the approach and what mark are you throwing over? Are you playing deep or more straight up? Is the alley dry, moderate or heavy oil when it counts?

It was pretty dry on the edges but there was still some oil in the middle so I was starting between 32-35 and throwing between 18-20.

My average between my two leagues this year is 165. Best series 583 and high game of 224. But I am making a lot of progress. In October, my average series was around 450. In November I was just over 500 and December was closer 550 including the 583
