Thread: Frantic or Fringe?

  1. #1

    Default Frantic or Fringe?

I've bowled 4 games with the Frantic. Zero with the Fringe. I've rolled 214, 210, 236, and 223 with the Frantic. Love it! However, I'm curious how the Fringe compares and reacts on the back-end. The Frantic is amazing. It's much stronger on the back-end for me than the Marvel Pearl I have. Carries a little better too.

I'm looking for insight on the Fringe and/or advice. Will the Fringe react strong like the Frantic or stronger? I'm assuming stronger. Anyone own one?

    Thanks!

I've always heard great things from the Frantic being almost if not as good as the Hyroad. Fringe? Eh.. not as much I would go Frantic but that's just me.. not sure if the Fringe is stronger or weaker than the Frantic

My concern with the Fringe is I've never even seen one let alone used one. At least with the Frantic, I've seen MANY and used one. Tomorrow at 9am I'm making my decision with the help of my pro-shop operator.

There are times when it seems like everyone in the bowling alley has a Frantic except for me. I'm not sure that I've even seen a Fringe.

There were probably 6+ Frantics on the handful of lanes surrounding me this morning. Popular ball in that house.

I own a frantic and it is good. It's not as strong as my DV8 Terror but its a great ball when the Terror is too much. Makes my bag smell like fruit loops if you're into that too

Coachkapps. Watch the 2nd tester of this video. He throws both the Fringe and the Frantic.

Pulled the trigger on the Frantic. The lanes I tested it on were OILY. I managed a weak 212. Weak meaning I didn't carry hits that would've crushed the pins at my normal house. I had to play right of 2nd arrow. Can't wait to see what this ball does in league.

My buddy bought the Fringe. He didn't fare so well in his test game. But he'll certainly get tons of hook on a better condition.

Oh, and I got a 3-ball bag for $80. Gotta have a place for my balls!

The Frantic is a beast on medium oil. Extremely strong backend reaction that crushes the pins.

I have not bowled with the Fringe, but I have a lot with the Frantic. I don't like it. Never had the reaction I wanted with it.
