Default Tape on middle and ring fingers?

Does anyone use tape or something else on their middle and ring fingers? I have been wondering if it would help from my fingers getting irritated as much as they do.

I have a guy in league that uses rev tape on both the middle and ring finger.

I tried it one day when I was having trouble with my fingers and it really does make a big difference. No irritation to the fingers at all with the tape on.

BUT the downside is I couldn't 'feel' the ball coming off my hand any more. I have gotten so used to judging my release by the feel I get on my fingertips as I lift through the ball at realease that it was a very weird feeling.

you also will probably have to go 1-2 sizes larger on the grips that you use to allow for the tape on your fingers.

TLDR: yes tape will protect your fingertips but changes the way the ball feels at release and you need larger grips.

I see a number of people that tape everything up. I always think they are trying to look like mummies. But it works for them.

I use a fingernail file on the callouses when they get too big. I was going to try tape but spending the money over and over again doesn't appeal to me.

I can never get tape to stay on. I do use a Vise thumb patch, but that's it.

I put tape on my ring finger cause it will split open after so many games....i dont like bleedin on the
ball. I also tape up my pinky if I need to tuck it. I will tape up my middle finger if I am bowling an 8 or
10 gamer, just to keep it from getting sore.

My fingers are shredded from bowling today, I want to use tape, but like I've said tape just comes off. What tape are you guys using? The Turbo tape, or regular athletic tape?

No, I just put it on the back of my fingers most times. Maybe I'll give it a shot taping the whole finger.

I guess it's a personal thing. A while ago, I was trying to figure out thumb hole sizing and found my thumbhole was too big. I put tape on the thumb to help snug up a tad and it bothered me all night. I finally just put tape in the thumbhole, rather than on my hand. To each his own.
