Having an issue with keeping shoulders square at the line. I'm pretty sure this all starts early in my approach. I have had a real issue as of late being consistent at the point I release the ball. Like today in a tournament, I would pull the ball, or what seems like a pull, to the left. My next shot I would miss right. This would go back and forth for 4 frames then I would hit the hole, 1-3. The only way it seemed I could correct this was to start with my shoulder so far forward in my stance it was uncomfortable. I couldn't seem to correct the issue "right now." Is this a "being lazy" at the foul line? What can I do to correct this issue????

Vise, first of all, I'd look at your accuracy problem rather than your shoulder position. You didn't mention, that on each of those shots wether you nailed the arrow/spot you were looking at.
Here's the problem...and 90% of bowlers do this. At the point of release, IF, you do not SEE your ball roll over your target, chances are that you are
picking up your eyes off of your target a split second prior to releasing the ball. I call this "anticipating your shot".
You MUST watch the ball roll over the target in order to hit it. Think of it as, not being able to hit what you don't see. Now if you're shots are going left of the head pin, most of the time you'll be pulling the ball left BECAUSE "Your hand will ALWAYS follow your eyes". If your ball is going off to the right then your eyes are as well. NOW....how do you fix this? Next time you bowl, wether league or practice, as you get set-up for your delivery, concentrate (FOCUS) on your spot, and from the moment you start moving down the approach....DO NOT BLINK YOUR EYES UNTIL YOU RELEASE THE BALL !!!! Sounds simple right, try this and you should see your accuracy fly off of the chart. Let me know how it works for you.
