Default Jbeck's scores. (not the guitarist)

Had my best practice today yet. So I thought I'd start my own scoring post. I was 1 pin shy of my first 200 game with a 199! That one spare I couldn't convert would've got me there. My second game was poor, missing a couple of splits I couldn't convert and my score was only a 126, but I came back and bowled decent on my third game with a 175 making it my very first 500 series! I got good tips from my son's coach telling me to put pressure on my index finger so that I grip the ball cause he noticed I was dropping my ball before I wanted to release it. I also used some abralon pads on my ball to give it more hook than usually and it definitely helped! Wish I was in a league though. Confidence is way up!

Yesterday's scores 126, 137, 146. I think I'm gonna start spending one day a week practicing spares only.

    Default Who knew?

So today I joined this military bowling club, called the 200 club. I've yet to join a league and I wondered how I would do. Well this is just a once a month sort of friendly tournament. At first I felt pressure figuring these people are probably a lot better than I am. Well they were, but it made me wanna bowl my best. We all cheered each other on regardless of how we bowled. I just so happened to bowl very consistently for the first time! 3 games all over 170! 172, 171, 174. And my best series so far 517!. I had a lot of fun while even trying to pay attention to the Raven's/Bronco's game. I guess the time between bowlers let me concentrate more than I do when I bowl alone. Can't wait til next month!

Good job! Seems the time between shots really suited you. Or maybe the oil pattern but either way it was a good series.

Thanks! Yeah I think it was also the fact that everybody else was knocking down strikes and I didn't want my first time to show my usual 140 average lol! I paid attention to where they were throwing their balls and luckily none were in my target area.

I hadn't bowled since Monday...and it showed because my first game I so off my game and only threw 2 spares, but got warmed up by the 2nd game. Lowest score so far this year with a 98, 161, 141
