I am a firm believe in setting goals. So I thought I would post this thread to offer up the opportunity to discuss your goals for bowling.

Post up some bowling goals you accomplished during last year/season.

I accomplished a couple of my goals for last year:
Shoot a 300 game
Win 3 tournaments
Receive 3 lessons from USBC Gold Coach

Here are some of my current goals for this year:
Receive 10 Lessons From USBC Gold Coach
Shoot 300 Game
Shoot 800+ Series
Win 3 Tournaments
Compete in High Roller
Place in the Top 5 of the Storm Utah Open
Add 3 New Clients For Coaching
Get to 100,000 Views on the YouTube Channel for the Website

Continue to raise my high game

get a 600 series

raise average to 170

Come in first place in my current league

Get a 250 game in league/tournament play.

Get a 700 series in league/tournament play.

Finish my current league with a 180 average.
172 currently-15 weeks left

Continue to work on my approach and finish, not were I want it yet. Still off balance too much and release is inconsistent.

My goals when I started again last august was:

Improve my highscore - still working on it.
Get a 600 series - done
Improve to a 180 average over all competitions - don't think this one will succeed, my tuesday average is currently 177,25 and my friday average is currently 166,4 for a combined average of 173,17.
Aside from that, want to improve on my technique because I'm certain there's still some flaws in it.

I'd like to get a 300 in the bag, gotten 289 twice.
I decided to try my hand at some tournaments, at least one a month weather they are USBC or some of the local charity events, I'd really like to cash in an event this year!
Up my high series of 739, I left an open in the 10th working on a double 2 weeks ago for a 692. That one stung!!!

For you guys wanting to raise your average to 170 and 180, make sure to practice spares as much as possible. Each open frame is about 10 pins off your score so averaging one more spare per game could get that average right where you want it!

So far this season i have gotten a 600 series and a dozen or so 550+ series, last year's high series was in the low to mid 500s

Goals:
700 series! (forget 650 i'm jumping to 700 lol)
300 game would be nice
average over 180 for 21 games (league averages in the 160's and can't possibly change that much counting the entire year)
Win the Provincial Doubles Tourney i'm in next weekend
Place in Provincials in the National Tournament (making it to National's would be a bonus)

Goals:
1. Three sanctioned 300 games. Shot two non-sanctioned 300s this season
2. Lead a league in average.
3. Win one of my leagues. Monday nights we won first half so at worse we will have a bowl off at the end of the season.
4. Win overall City title

Achieved:
1. 800 series
2. Obtain a staff position

Finish with high average in my practice league;
Win my practice league;
clean game;
225 game (current high 201);
clean series;
600 series (current 504);
score better than my son when we bowl together.

Got my clean game today and bettered both my high game (201 to 211) and series (504 to 538).
