Default The importance of a proper fitting thumb hole

I never realized the importance of a thumb hole until i got my spare ball drilled to fit my thumb. Im using my dads AMF Angle which is drilled for left hand and up until a few days ago i was using it finger tip + Thumb tip because my fingers dont fit all the way. Went to my pro shop and wanted to get an estimate to fix the hole to fit my thumb and he said $4.50 so i got it done. My accuracy was night and day! Im still no sniper when it comes to spares but hitting my target is so much more consistent. Now i just have to replace the grips to fit my ring and middle finger!

Wow that's a nice price from the pro-shop! I'm guessing they just had to make the hole a bit bigger rather than plug it and redrill.

Fitting the ball to the bowlers hand is 1000% more important than the actual ball itself.

Dude, your pro shop seems to like you! Anyway, fit is definitely more important than the ball itself.

he actually plugged and re drilled my gf's ball for free. She got finger tip cuz she wanted to try hooking more but decided to go back to conventional cuz she couldnt throw a straight ball with fingertip. And his just a really cool guy. People write essays about him on yelp with the utmost approval.

Work for a female I expect to be free. Especially if they're good looking. Not being a sexist (on purpose) just the way it seems to be.

No doubt. My gf is no 10/10 but shes sure as hell a lot better than most of the girls i see around the lanes. He did offer to take the too reckless to 2000 grit to complement my crossroad though for free

ya, i remember the first time getting my thumb hole fixed for my shrinking thumb.
it was amazing how much less pressure is needed to hold on to the ball when it's snug.
and i was shooting spares much easier also.
