    Default Dv8 Marauder

I have the dv8 marauder and used to love this ball... It was my go to ball... Over the last month or so it seems like ithas lost its mojo. Its either hooking to early and make a small small adjustment it doesnt hook at all... Other people in the alley have thrown it before and said that they liked the ball and has made some even think of trying dv8 but same ones now are rethinking it seein I am having problems and if they throw it compared to then its like Blah... does this mean maybe its time for rejuvenation? I have had it semi out of teh box resurfacing done to it. It was with 500 abralon not siaair and high gloss but no rough buff... My proshop is straight EBI and only carry those products and doesnt carry siaair pads.... so could that be making a difference as well.... any input would be awesome

I would take it in for a tune up. If you get it back and it still has no "mojo" then there is a problem. There has been a few guys I have seen that get mad because the ball has seemed died on them. These are the same guys who never wipe off the oil or clean it after bowling. Maintenance goes a long way, and even with wiping off oil and cleaning it eventually you will have to get it serviced by the pro shop to get it back to OOB condition.

Like Scotty said, take it de-oil, and bring back to oob finish, this should get the reaction you love back

Real response I should have said.

    Steps:
    1. Curse at ball and decide to never use it again.
    2. In anger plug all holes on the ball.
    3. Ship ball to me.

Re-juvinate it! Sissar & Abralon I believe are the same just different companies.

Why be concerned? Keith has put many games on his and loved it. Probably enough games where it just needs a tuneup like most bowling balls need which is usually recommended after 60 games or so. I have the Marauder Madness and DV8 makes great balls. I have had mine for 12 weeks and it has seen well over 60 games now. It is ready to see some maintenance here shortly, but the ball has yet to lose any life yet as I keep good care of it.

ZRock, enjoy the ball, love the ball, take good care of the ball and it will take good care of you! If not ship it to me and I will love it as my own. LOL

Scotty is right I have put tons of games on that ball and is just the whole needing to be tuned up process... I am prolly going to be doing that either this week or next week and let ya know how it goes... Btw the Marauder is a awesome ball and i have a ton of good games on mine...

    1. Time to rejuvenate and go back to OOB finish
    2. Saiar and Abralon use the same grit rating so that's not an issue
    3. High gloss polish instead of rough buff will make it go longer (for future reference)

On a side note: I have over 300 games on my Marauder. Normal maintenance so far other than one warm water and detergent bath with sanding and rough buff. My Reckless has about 700 games on it and needs rejuvenated.
