The Brutal Nightmare is considered polished but 500 grit with rough buff polish isn't the same as a real polished ball. It's just enough polish to clear the heads.

Heavy oil Solids for that monster hook? lol

Out of curiosity, when you the nexus doesn't hook, where are you standing/aiming? the nexus should still be strong enough to hook regardless of the pearl cover.
You said you were a low rev bowler, do you know ball speed and approximate rev rate?

Heavy oil Balls that you can look at:
DV8 Nightmare, Brutal Nightmare (hybrid that will go longer than the original)
    Brunswick Aura, Aura Paranormal
    Storm Sync,
    Motiv Raptor Talon
    Hammer First Blood (hybrid)

@uncle, you are very rev dominate and what will work for you will not work for others, he said that he is having issues with the nexus hooking on heavy oil which is already a lot stronger than the nail
    High Game: 246 (300 soon)

I will keep that in mind. For now my ball only has about 14 games on it. Come to think of it, according to Hammer, my ball is due for a polish. Explains why the ball looked a little lack luster yesterday in the track area. I am still waiting on a payment from a client. Once that comes in i will be buying Powerhouse Energizer Cleaner and Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish.

When the 30 game mark comes around I will have my pro-shop take care of the light sanding and polishing work considering I don't have a ball spinner.

Pollish after 14 games? I would have to polish a minimum of twice a week.

Well that is what Hammer tells me. Here is a copy and paste.

Daily after Bowling – Oil-free Microfiber Towel combined with Powerhouse Energizer Cleaner.
Every 10 games – Polish the surface of the ball with a cotton towel and Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish.
Every 30 games – Lightly sand the surface of the ball with Abralon Pads, and re-polish with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. Use 4000 grit then apply factory finish.Every 60 games – Bowling ball due for a full resurface.
Every 100 games – Bowling ball due for a Powerhouse Hook Again service.

I forgot to say in the original post that I want a ball will hook soon, so low RG, high differential.

@75lockwood. According to what the screen says, my speed is around 16-17 mph (26kmh). I can say that I am "speed dominant" over revs. I know have have problems with that, turning the hand too soon so that I release the ball on the side/top of it. I am left handed, so I play it on the first arrow and I stand at the 2nd dot from the left. Kind of hard to explain. I'll try to get a video when I go practice.

That's easy to expain. You stand on 10 and target across the 5 board.
If that's the line you want to play in the heavy oil then any of the balls I mentioned will work.

When you count the boards, you start at the very first board on the left? I'll count that tonight.
