    Default new ball consideration

Hi everyone, havent posted in a while but have been lurking lol. Since joining and getting back into bowling I have joined a league and have been greatly getting back to the level i was. Im currently throwing a defiant and c system maxxed out. I have a pretty low rev rate and am a down and in guy. I am considering getting my first DV8 ball and am pretty set on the brutal nightmare. I normally have better luck with stronger balls due to my lower rev rate but wondering if this is maybe too much ball for my local house shot. Any and all help is really appreciated!

It's a very strong ball, you say you have a low rev rate, what about your ball speed? if you are extremely rev dominant then it might be worth a shot. what line do you play with the maxxed out when the oil is fresh?

Ben, re-read that. You said rev dominant after the post said low rev lol gotcha

Given your low rev rate the Brutal Nightmare would be fine. You may have to move a little left with your feet. If your ball speed is 13.5 mph or above then I would recommend a pin down lay out.

Thanks Bill, i ordered the brutal nightmare today. Talked to a pro also that used to be one of the first trainers at the kegel training center in lake wales on the phone and am gonna make the drive to have him drill it up for me. Not very happy with my other 2 balls and really want this one to be perfect.

Strong balls can be drilled like a weaker ball. You're just paying allot more compared to buying a weaker ball.
