Sunday Mixed
3/3/2013 630 = 224, 194, 212
Didn't do well. Lanes were really oily. I couldn't carry with so much oil with the Hammer 1st Blood on the 1st game, so I switched over to the Hammer Taboo. Had to play down and in shot 1st & 2nd game, with so much oil. By the 3rd game, my line was finally drying out, so I was able to switch back to the 1st Blood and play an Out & in shot. I was the highest on the pair with a 630.

Forced myself to use my 1st Blood all night. Shot was great all night. I just needed to hit my mark, too bad I didn't. The other team bowled well too. 1st game was very eventfull. Scores was close between both teams, and it was up to the anchors on the 10th frame. I had a double up to the 9th, shooting a 239. We both struck on the 1st game on the 10th, so I needed to double to secure it. Threw a 2nd strike on the 10, and another on the filler, to finish off with a 269 and win the game. We took 7 points from them. Normally, we lose to their team.



PRACTICE AFTER LEAGUE
174, 193, 191, 173, 240 - A few of us usually bowl after the league for $1. We normally bowl on the same pair, but we had to move to the next pair over. Lanes had allot more oil, compared to our lane. I lost 4 games and 1 guy was giving me crap, so I wanted to bet $20, he only did $10. Beat him with a 240.

Struggled. Lanes were dry and the team we bowled on all played the same line as I did.

Subbed. Struggled as well. Lanes were dry.

I thought I was bowling really well, that I'd always be bowling a 600 series or better in each of my leagues, but the last 2 leagues humbled me. I need to work on moves when the lanes really dry up. The only thing is that I'm playing with 2 new balls, that I'm not used to playing them when it's really dry. My Taboo original isn't really new, but this is the first time I'm using it at 2000 grit with polish. Prior to this and my 1st Blood, I haven't had any polished bowling balls.

Even though I didn't do well 3rd game, I was happy. I played brackets for $$$ and beat all of them. Surprised I also beat the guy on my 3rd game, since he was a scratch player. Fortunately, he didn't do well and opened allot and finished off with a 162. Won 2nd place in brackets.

Had a tough time 1st game. The approach was sticky and I thought I had an extra slide sole, but couldn't find it, so I kept using the shoe brush on it until I was starting to get comfortable. Another issue I had was it was very oily. So if I stuck, I would pull it. So I couldn't get a set line. I finally figured out by the 8th frame, I know rather late. My slide was workable AND I decided to go down and in, instead of out & in. I had an 86 by the 7th frame, but struck all the way to the 10th, and a 9 count on the filler to finish off with a 175.


PRACTICE AFTER LEAGUE
235, 247, 220, 203 - We bowled for $1 game again. Won the 1st 2 games. We gave a girl 50 pins 3rd & 4th game, she won the 3rd. Another buddy won the 4th.

Wednesday Men's
3/13/2013 551 = 170, 196, 185

Struggled. Lanes were real dry and the house was very humid, so I didn't have a clean release. Left a few opens on the 1st game. I should have brought my urethane ball for the night, but I usually just leave it at home. Took my Taboo original, which I finished to 2000 grit with Powerhouse Factory Finish polish, up to 4000 grit with Powerhouse Factory Finish polish. Hopefully this will give me the length when it's really dry again. Oh well. Just tried to keep a clean series.

Another rough night. Lanes were dry. I have a bad habit of throwing too hard when it's dry, which rushes my shot. I end up missing my mark and/or not getting enough hand in the ball. I shot the lowest series in our team.

Though not too high, at least I'm back to shooting 600 series again. I was a little disappointed in the brackets. I was shooting well, but the guy I was going against was also shooting well, PLUS had 33 pins handicap. I have no handicap and I shoot a 235. The guy I was against shot a 213, but with his handicap (33), his score was a 246. I didn't do well the next 2 games. We took 5 points against the other team. When I started the league about a month ago, the team was last place. We are now 2nd place and about 2 points away from the 1st place team, which just bowled against.

Another rough night. Lanes were really oily. I couldn't find a good line. Lanes were finally drying out by 2nd & 3rd game, that I was able to find a decent line.

Wednesday 6:30pm Men's
3/20/2013 670 = 223, 235, 212

I started off bad the 1st couple of frames. I opened the 1st frame, and got 9 spare, 8 spare, 9 spare the next consecutive frames. I finally figured out the shot and hit 4 in a row and finished off with a 223. Although I shot well, the rest of my team didn't. We lost 7 points.

Monday Night Mixed 3/11/2013

621 = 216, 214, 191

I subbed tonight. Use my Hammer 1st Blood 1st and 2nd game and a few frames of the 3rd game. Won doubles with my team mate on the 2nd game. 3rd game, struck on the 1st and 2nd frame, but started jumping 3rd & 4th frame. Unfortunately, left both frames open. Made a ball change to my Hammer Taboo original (@4000 grit w/Polish). Struck 5th, 6th, & 7th. Threw a 9 count on the 10th, and opened on the 2nd ball. Finished with a 191. I have a nice 30 pin handicap in the house, so I was able to take 3rd place in survivor.
