Sunday Mixed 3/3/2013

My game started going down, especially 3rd game. I don't know why, but I was all over the first couple of frames on the 3rd game. Left a bucket on the 1st frame, picked up 2. Left another an 8-10 split on the 2nd frame. Left a 10 pin on the 3rd, missed the spare. Finally got it together, then switched from the Hammer 1st Blood to the Hammer Taboo original. Finished off with a 172.

Monday Night Mixed 3/25/2013
583 = 209, 184, 190

Rough night. Really allot of oil. It didn't seem like the typical 39'. Even our sub, who averages 224, shot a 586. After a few frames with the Hammer 1st Blood, I switched over to my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver (@4000 grit). The 1st Blood would not move. Had to lay down the ball at 1st arrow and let the ball creep over 2nd arrow. Pretty much stayed with the ball the hole night, even during practice afterwards.

Stayed in the same lanes. Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver (@4000 grit) all 4 games. Won 2nd & 3rd game over 4 other bowlers.

Wednesday 6:30pm Men's 3/27/2013
607 = 192, 238, 177

Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver (@4000 grit) majority of the night. Struggled the first couple of frames of the 1st game. Got a split, with an open on the 1st frame, then 8 spare on the 2nd. Finally started stringing them along. Finished off with a 192. Finally got my game back 2nd game, but lost it again on the 3rd. Lanes were drying out, plus I was having issues hitting my spot.

Monday Night Mixed 4/1/2013
547 = 215, 147, 185

Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver. Oil was all over. The team we bowled against were straight bowlers, playing 4th, 3rd, and even 2nd arrow. Their bowling balls weren't really maintained, so the oil was all over. I struggled. It seems as though I hit the same line, same shot, I'd get different results.

Orland 1500 4/2/2013
548 = 215, 211, 158

Mean's league...Starting to sub again in this league. I was a sub on one team, but was kicked out. I kept refusing to sub, since they require their subs to pay. So once I was off their roster, I was immediately pulled on this team, which was on the same league.

Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver. Shot somewhat decent. I just missed a few 10 pins. Strangely, I usually don't. 3rd game, I left allot of splits.



Texas Holdem Trio 4/2/2013
610 = 206, 212, 192

This is a later league at 9:30pm. Lanes were really dry. I was a little tired, since I just finished bowling Orland 1500 at 6:15. I left a few opens on the 3rd game. Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver 1st and 2nd game, then switched over to my Hammer Taboo original. Being tired from the previous league, helped me out in this league, since I didn't try to throw too hard.

Pardon for sneak attacking your thread, but I am curious about a trend I have noticed. In most of the series, you have a tendency to start off great and start to trail off in games 2 and 3. Are your balls just not finishing into the pocket properly or are you rushing shots? I realize with such a strong/controllable layout at the RICO, you may lose entry angle as the lanes break down. Do you leave a lot of 10s? Aslo, something I used to do was get over-amped and start rushing as the night went on. My shot making suffers when this happens. I was just curious and wished to inquire.

Majority of my issues are me Sometimes my head's not in the game. I make the wrong move, leaving bad pin counts. Of course, I sometimes make the right move, except for that one. Then I get lost at times, not knowing where to move. Also inconsistency. If I bowl with bowlers who throw hard/fast, subconsciously, I increase my speed. Or sometimes, when the lanes are dry, I throw harder/faster, instead of just moving. Unfortunately, when I increase my speed, my revs don't match.

There are a few times that I don't have a big window, where if I miss a board right, the ball won't hook, or if I miss a board left, the ball hits Brooklyn.

Wednesday 6:30pm Men's 4/3/2013

Finally a decent night. Sort of. Shot was there, I just had to hit it. Threw a few too hard or not enough hand, so my ball didn't come in the pocket at the right angle. Also a few stupid mistakes, like missing a few single pin spares and a few splits. Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver the 1st and part of the 2nd game played a Down & in shot, then switched over to the Hammer 1st Blood the rest of the night and played an Out & In shot.

Thursday Night Strikers 4/4/2013
593 = 220, 151, 222

Used my Hammer Taboo Blue/Silver. Rough second game. Lanes really dried up and had issues with my release. Made a bad move. I moved deeper and threw harder and got frustrated that I couldn't get my ball out so it would hook back. Finally decided to move up and right, still throwing hard, but down and in. Started striking again.
